Greenburgh Insider: Town of Greenburgh: Fuller Center helps families whose homes destroyed during storms or who need repairs.

Fuller Center looking for volunteers and support from community so they can help others Link to interview with Jim Killoran below.

The Fuller Center has been helping several families in Greenburgh who have needed help rebuilding their homes after significant storms. One family, Kimona Hanson, lost their entire home during the flood. Volunteers are working with the family rebuilding their home -saving the Hanson family lots of money. They have worked with the town and residents helping to rebuild homes damaged by floods. They have assisted families (seniors, those who take advantage of our meals and wheels program and veterans) with some repairs and also have donated sandbags to help other families. Every time someone has a major problem and I refer the problem to Jim Killoran, executive director of the Fuller Center – the reaction is YES, we want to help the family. If you know of a family or senior that needs assistance please e mail DART@fullercenterny. You can copy me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com. If you’d like to volunteer and help a great cause you should e mail volunteer@fullercenterny.

I would like to organize a Greenburgh bike a thon to raise funds for the Fuller Center so they can help more Greenburgh families.  If you’d like to help organize such an effort that could be held in the fall or spring please advise. Check out www.fullercenterny.org or call 9140406-3357
