The Receiver of Taxes, Town Clerk and Assessor discuss their budget requests.
As promised – every Tuesday during the month of October the Town Board and Comptroller will be discussing department head budget requests during our work session. We will discuss operating and capital budget requests.
This is a link to three discussions we had on Tuesday with the Town Clerk, the Assessor and Receiver of Taxes. All these departments are in the A budget. The A budget impacts residents of unincorporated Greenburgh and the villages. . Each of the department heads shared their wish lists with the Town Board. The comptroller and I will review the budget requests and reflect on Town Board input before I release a proposed budget on October 30th. My proposed budget may not include every request that is made by department heads.
We will be meeting again next Tuesday and every Tuesday at 5:30 PM with different department heads. The goal: to make the 2025 budget process open, provide the community with more information and to encourage residents to ask questions and to comment about the budget. Feel free to write to townboard@greenburghny.com with any comments or questions. The Town Board has till December 20th to approve a final budget after I propose the 2025 budget.
