Greenburgh Insider: Town of Greenburgh: Ardsley Rd bridge, under repairs by NYS, to be completed in May 2025.

Northside of the bridge to be completed by early October 2024. South side by May 2025. It's already been four years!

WHEN WILL THE ARDSLEY ROAD BRIDGE BE COMPLETED?

IT’S ALREADY BEEN FOUR YEARS –WON’T BE COMPLETED UNTIL MAY 2025.

The Ardsley Road bridge, a NYS owned bridge,  has been under repairs for four years. For many months very little activity took place on the bridge that is near the Ardsley/unincorporated Greenburgh border). But –finally more steady work is taking place on this bridge. This is one of the longest construction projects on any bridge in the region.

Received an email from Andre Greaves -Burrows, who is the Engineer in Charge of the NYS Department of Transportation, Hudson Valley. Mr. Greaves-Burrows indicated that their current schedule shows the north side of the bridge being completed by early October 2024. The south side would be completed by May 2025.  The south side of the bridge will be worked on after the current side of the bridge is completed. But there is no gas main on that side of the bridge.

The most recent progress report:

•            Install of the remaining structural steel pieces are now complete.

•            The new gas main on and off bridge is now complete and has been placed into service by Con Edison.

•             Reconstruction of the bridge’s Backwalls is ongoing

•             Construction of the Form Work for the Structural Deck has also begun.
