Greenburgh Insider: FREEZING RAIN ALERT- PLEASE STAY OFF ROADS AND BE CAREFUL.

 

Crews are salting the roads. Spoke with the Commissioner of Public Works - we recommend you stay off roads until after the freezing rain stops.

Freezing rain are making Greenburgh roads icy and slippery. Better to stay dry inside than go outdoors --at least until after the freezing rain stops.  We don't want you to be an accident statistic. Spoke with the Commissioner of Public Works. Our crews are busy salting the roads. But, it's still going to be slippery and conditions are not great for driving.  And, when you go outside be  extra careful. After every freezing rain incident hospital emergency rooms get many patients who slip, fall. Falling on one's head can be life threatening.
