The former Elmwood Country Club on Dobbs Ferry Road will be developed for residential development. Options will be discussed at a public hearing on the FEIS on Wed March 9th at 7:30 PM at our Town Board meeting.
On Wednesday, February 9th, the Town Board accepted the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) related to proposed residential development at the former Elmwood Country Club on Dobbs Ferry Road, which includes a public comment period. The Applicant prepared various alternatives of residential redevelopment, which are discussed in detail in the FEIS. Three of the alternatives consist of multi-family townhouse Planned Unit Developments. Two of the alternatives consist of One-Family subdivisions. The alternatives range in density from 113 to 175 units, with varying layouts and characteristics (parkland/open space considerations, ingress/egress, etc.). The Town Board will hold a public hearing on the FEIS on Wednesday, March 9th at 7:30pm. Following the FEIS process, the Town Board will prepare a Findings Statement, which will include a written rationale supporting the Board’s to be determined preferred alternative. The preferred alternative, which will not be selected until all public comment is received, will then be subject to additional approvals of the Applicable Land-Use Boards of the Town, as well as non-Town agencies such as the New York Department of Transportation and Department of Environmental Conservation.
