Greenburgh Insider: Greenburgh named Tree City of the World--one of 37 in the nation and 2 in NYS.

138 cities from 21 countries honored.

For third consecutive year Greenburgh has been recognized as a "Tree City of the World". There are only two communities in NYS that have earned this distinction and only 37 in the United States.

On behalf of the Arbor Day Foundation and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, we write to congratulate Greenburgh on earning 2021 Tree Cities of the World recognition! In total, 138 cities from 21 countries were recognised alongside you. Your city is part of an important global network leading the way in urban and community forestry. Congratulations for earning this prestigious status once again!
