Greenburgh Insider: Last day to file grievance on assessment is Tuesday--link to info.

 


The last day to file a grievance on your assessment is this coming Tuesday, June 21. Info on how you can file a grievance (if you feel that your house is not worth what it is assessed for) can be found below.

The Assessor, Edye McCarthy, met with the Hartsdale Neighbors Association to answer questions about the assessment process and also discussed the assessment process. The information provided was very informative. The link to the discussion can be found here.

The Board of Assessment (made up of citizens)  reviews Assessments made by the Assessor and has the ability to make adjustments after a grievance is filed.
