Greeenburgh Insider: Public Hearing: Cannabis Wed at 7:30 PM...reminder first half of school taxes due September 30.

Town does not have any control over school taxes. School districts are independent of the town.

Reminder: First half of school taxes must be paid by Friday, September 30th (avoid penalties). The town of Greenburgh has no control over the school taxes. School districts are independent of the town. We only collect the taxes.

On Wednesday September 28th, the Town Board will hold a public hearing on a local law which would regulate various aspects of Cannabis, including retail dispensaries, indoor processing, indoor distribution facilities, etc. The public hearing begins after 7:30 PM at Greenburgh Town Hall.  Residents can participate by zoom if they do not want to attend the meeting in person.  The law would establish retail dispensaries as a special permit use in the PD Non-Residential Planned Development District. Other cannabis uses such as processing, distribution, and cultivation all would be restricted to be fully enclosed, and allowable by special permit in the PD District and LI Light Industrial and GI General Industrial Districts. A presentation of the law on Wednesday will include mapping that highlights these Zoning Districts and will include a comprehensive overview.  The sale would only be allowed in NON RESIDENTIAL neighborhoods.
