Stay warm while waiting for a train in Hartsdale. And- info on how to get your customer service complaints reviewed by Metro North.
How to stay warm while waiting for a train at Hartsdale train station and how to reach out to Metro North with concerns.
Dear Supervisor Feiner:
On behalf of Catherine Rinaldi, President of Metro-North Railroad, I have been asked to respond to your letter regarding the heaters at Hartsdale Station.
The complaint from your constituent dated 9/28/22, was received in advance of us turning on heaters at our stations. All heaters are turned on by November 1st.
All station heaters have a ‘Push for Heat’ button which is an eco-friendly method of heating our station shelters without demanding more energy than needed. This allows Metro-North to shrink its energy footprint while continuing to keep customers warm during the fall/winter months. The cost of energy consumption from a constantly running heater adds up, and often people are only in the shelter for a short period of time. The ‘Push for Heat’ button allows customers to get heat on demand for a period of 10 minutes. You can always push the button again, if you are waiting longer.
In the future, your office and constituents can contact Metro-North’s Customer Service Department directly by mail at Metro-North Customer Service, 89 East 42nd Street, Grand Central Terminal, New York, NY 10017 or via email at: ; http://mta-nyc.custhelp.com/app/ask
