There were hundreds of Veterans at the event representing all branches of our nation's military. NYS Veteran Hall of Fame Inductee WW-II USN Veteran Jean Macintosh attended the event, and was warmly greeted by all Veterans. The event was also attended by Veteran in-patients from local VA hospitals. Numerous local, and state elected officials were on hand to greet & thank the Veterans.

There were more than sixty volunteers at the event. The volunteers included local firefighters that did the cooking, girl scouts, boy scouts, the Town C.E.R.T. members, VA hospital staff, local Veterans, and a host of local volunteers. In addition, members of the West Point band provided live entertainment for the evening. The Girl Scouts gave each Veteran a box of cookies as they left.

The Veterans Advisory Committee thanked all of the dedicated Parks & Recreation staff for a fantastic event.  Committee members repeatedly said without the dedicated staff at Parks & Recreation there would be no event. Kudos to P&R for another great night.

This is a small way to thank our Veterans for their sacrifice to keep our nation safe & free, and to remind them that they are "Never Forgotten".
