Ice cream trucks, wait time info, covid/flu shots given by Health Center have made the early voting experience a positive experience for Greenburgh voters.
ENTERTAINMENT DURING EARLY VOTING FRIDAY.
A treat for early voters on Friday, November 1. Mark Maffucci will perform outside Town Hall while voters are waiting on line to cast their ballots. He will be at the early voting parking lot from 11 AM to 1 PM Mark has enjoyed playing at local farmers markets in Hartsdale, Mahopac and Somers, open mics, covering great songs by Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Warren Zevon and beyond. He wants to enhance enhance the voting experience with some mild, unassuming, easy listening, background kind of music for voters to listen to. We’re grateful to Mark for making waiting on lines easier and fun. On Friday early voting will take place from 8 AM to 4 PM.
TO MAKE IT EASIER TO TIME YOUR VOTE – the Town Clerks office is updating the town website each hour during the rest of early voting with estimated wait times to vote. Check the top of the Greenburgh website. Earlier this week the town live streamed the parking lot/lobby at town hall so voters could check out the lines. Although many voters appreciated this, some complained and didn’t want their images on the town website. Providing voters with estimated wait time serves the same purposes.
An ice cream truck was at Town Hall during early voting on Thursday to make the voting experience more enjoyable for many hungry voters. And the ice cream truck made the voting experience
sweeter!
Thank you to the Westchester Community Health Center (formerly called the Greenburgh Neighborhood Health Center) for offering residents covid shots and flu shots (and blood pressure tests) on Wednesday and Thursday during early voting.
We’ve been trying to make the Greenburgh Town Hall early voting location a positive experience for voters of all parties.
