recognizing Chandler Edwards, sixth grader at Richard J Bailey School- delegate to the Juvenile Diabete's Children's Congress.

Chandler Edwards will be a sixth grader at  Richard J. Bailey Elementary School this fall.  Unlike most people his age He's already an accomplished lobbyist. Over 1,000 students competed for the honor of being named as a delegate to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Children's Congress. Chandler was one. Chandler, who has type 1 Diabetes, is working hard to find a cure. He's trying to persuade Congress to find a cure for the Special Diabetes program in the 2020 federal budget. Washington needs to fund research in the hopes of preventing, treating and finding a cure for juvenile diabetes.

We invited Chandler to appear before the Greenburgh Town Board to discuss his efforts and his accomplishment being selected as a delegate to the Juvenile Diabete's Children's Congress. A link to the video of his presentation to the Town Board is below. An article about Chandler also appeared in the Examiner.

Greenburgh is lucky to have an exceptionally talented young man like Chandler devoting his time advocating to make the lives of others better. He can look forward to a very bright future.
