There was a tragic fire that engulfed and gutted a multi-family home in Sleepy Hollow earlier this week. Several families, including children, are now displaced and have lost just about everything (tragically including some family pets). Kenny Herzog, a Greenburgh snow angel, one of the founders of the Covid Angels Committee and executive director of #VaxUpWestchester -which has helped Greenburgh residents get Covid vaccines and boosters, has asked me to share info with Greenburgh residents -how people can help.
I wanted to share some ways you can help if so inclined:
- RSHM Life Center is collecting supplies (clothing, shoes, etc). 32-35 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow. Monday/Wednesday 9:15 - 6PM. Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 9:15PM -9PM. Contact: Andrea Carson Andrea@RSHMLifeCenter.org 914 366 9710
- The Sleepy Hollow Village Hall is acceping g gift cards only. They can be left at Lock box at entrance of building or 2nd Floor, Clerk's offie. Any kind of gift cards would be appreciated, and they will be distributed o the families. 914 366 5106 28 Beekman Ave, Sleepy Hollow There are 7 families, 26 adults and 12 children. Just spoke to the Clerks office today.
- The Fuller Center located at 662 Main Street in New Rochelle will offer assistance with food, clothing and housing for all affected. The contact person is James Killoran (914) 730-2316.
