My name is Jeff Voorheis and I represent the PGA Golf Professionals at the clubs throughout the area. Our association, the Metropolitan PGA, is helping to launch a “Job Fair” as an attempt to help area golf courses and country clubs acquire talented individuals who are interested in employment. This Job Fair will be held on Wednesday April 13th at Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, NY. Representatives from area facilities will have “booths” and will be available to meet and speak with job seekers in hopes of matching needs and desires for all. Some might make the “speed dating” analogy.

We would be most appreciative of any support you could lend in terms of promoting this event among your networks and wherever else you deem appropriate. Among the most important messaging is that golf experience IS NOT a requirement for the majority of positions available, and that there are many opportunities at clubs that are not golf specific (administration, food & beverage, grounds & maintenance are a few examples).
