Greenburgh Insider: TEMPORARY TRAFFIC LIGHT ON UNDERHILL TO BE PLACED ON STREET.

NEW YORK STATE is completing their bridge repairs on Underhill.

Temporary inconveniences.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC LIGHT TO BE PLACED ON UNDERHILL.

The NYS Department of Transportation plans to resume work on the Underhill Road bridge later this month. The temporary traffic light will be installed by the state on Underhill -which will cause some traffic delays on Underhill, Ridge Road. Should last about 2 months. The state completed half the work last year.  The bridge infrastructure work is necessary and will inconvenience motorists for about two months.

Be advised the NYSDOT contractor for the above referenced project anticipates starting daytime work at the Underhill Rd bridge over the Sprain Brook Pkwy for Stage II the week of March 21 weather permitting.   We are planning to install the traffic signals, advanced warning sign and traffic barrels on Monday allowing for alternating one way traffic over the bridge. Alternating one way traffic will be from Monday, March 21 for about 2 months. The traffic pattern will be similar to the one utilized at this location last year.

Thanks

Joe
