Joe Danko has served as a Deputy Town Attorney since 2016.
The Greenburgh Town Board named Joe Danko as our Interim Town Attorney on Tuesday. Joe will lead the department until a permanent Town Attorney is appointed. There has been a vacancy in the Town Attorneys office for a few weeks after long time Town Attorney Tim Lewis resigned after being appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the State Senate as a Judge of the NYS Court of Claims.
Since 2016 our Interim town Attorney has served as Deputy Town Attorney, representing the town in all tax certiorari proceedings, including properties of six villages and ten school districts. He is well versed in legal research and drafting legal documents and has excellent negotiation kills.
Joe has served as co chair of the Tax Certiorari and Condemnation Committee of the Westchester County Bar Association. He graduated from Pace University School of Law and received his BA cum laude from Binghamton SUNY. He was President of the Student Bar Association at Pace University School of Law and Executive Vice President of the Student Association at Binghamton University. He resides in White Plains.
I think that Joe will do a great job during this transition period. And thank him for his service.
PAUL FEINER
Greenburgh Town Supervisor
