Public hearing on July 13th to consider conservation overlay zone at 850 Dobbs Ferry Road & 113 detached one family residences. 14.2 acre park dedication.
In recent years there has been much discussion over the future of the 109 acres of the former Elmwood Country Club. After many public hearings and environmental, traffic reviews there seems to be a consensus to allow 113 single family homes. There would also be a 14.2 acre park dedication.
The Greenburgh Town Board has scheduled a public hearing for 7:30 PM on July 13 2022 at Greenburgh Town Hall to consider a Zoning Map amendment (Conservation district overlay zone) related to the Elmwood Preserve project and property located at 850 Dobbs Ferry Road.
The conservation subdivision layout includes a rezoning petition for a Conservation District (CD) Overlay, which if approved, would retain the underlying zoning of R-20 and R-30 District mix on the site.
The updated one-family subdivision layout includes 113 detached one-family residences and a 14.2-acre park dedication.
Please direct any comments for the Town Board to planning@greenburghny.com and townboard@greenburghny.com The civic association and many residents have been pushing the Town Board to approve single family homes. The 14.2 acre park dedication is also welcome news which could be used to enhance recreation in our town.
