Greenburgh Insider: Video highlights- Greenburgh summer internship program.

An exceptional program for students --working hard to help train students become our future leaders We welcome students who want to learn about government to participate in our programs this school year.

We had an amazing group of about 45  summer interns- High School and College students working at Greenburgh Town Hall this summer.  We compiled some video highlights and public service announcements. the short videos can be seen by clicking onto the link below.

Thank you Town Clerk Judith Beville for coordinating the program this summer and thank you to our exceptional speakers.

Meredith Vieira, who is known for her work as co host of the NBC TODAY show,  J.T. Rogers, who won the Tony award winning play OSLO (Best Play in 2017),  Judith Cheng-Hopkins, former Assistant Secretary General at the United Nation (in charge of refugees around the world), Barrett Seaman, editor of the Hudson Independent and former White House correspondent for TIME Magazine, Deputy County Executive Ken Jenkins were among our exceptional speakers this summer. The students interacted with local, county, state officials, learned how to lobby for legislative initiatives and produced public service announcements.  Apple Bank contributed $5,000 towards the program every year -helping us oversee a great program.

We want to provide any student who is interested in learning about government with the opportunity to do so. If you, your son or daughter, would like to be an intern during the school year, be a part of our student news network, serve as a student representative to a volunteer board, host a cable TV show or learn how to become an effective advocate for legislation  please e mail me at pfeiner@greenburghny.com. We want todays students to become tomorrows leaders.
