  At the beginning of every month I will post on the Greenburgh town website (www.greenburghny.com)   a comparison of Con Ed rates compared to the ESCO that Greenburgh and other municipalities have signed up for. Con Ed rates fluctuate each month. Some months they will be higher than the ESCOs. Other months they will be lower.

 

  The ESCOs rates stay the same (can't go up or down) till the end of October, 2024.   During the month of November  Con Ed rates were cheaper.  However- that could change in the coming months. 

 

  All Greenburgh resident (and residents of the other 23 communities in Westchester that have signed on) are automatically enrolled in the ESCO unless they previously opted out or are enrolled in another ESCO. You can opt in or out any time during the life of the contract.  Local governments are enrolled in the more expensive green energy program. If cost is an issue you can enroll in sustainable Westchester's non green program --another option that is less expensive.
