Link to WVOX radio interview.
Z Paige L'Erario, MD (they/them/doctor) is an LGBTQ+ advocate with the Greenburgh Human Rights Committee for a number of years. They were on my WVOX radio show discussing how some members of the transgender community experienced living in Greenburgh and the suburbs. Unfortunately, some of these experiences include healthcare discrimination and street harassment that Dr. L'Erario and others have experienced. Dr. L'Erario also discusses the difficulties that members of the transgender community have had in persuading commercial and employer-sponsored health insurance companies to cover their gender transition. Dr. L'Erario is a clinical researcher at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine.
