Greenburgh Insider: Hartsdale/Fairview Memorial day info...living history interviews to air on TV.

150 interviews with veterans of World War II and Korean conflict to air on public access TV from Friday night (midnight) to Tuesday AM non stop.

Hartsdale parade Monday at 10 AM

Fairview ceremony at 11

150 living history interviews with Greenburgh veterans of World War II and the Korean conflict will air non stop on Greenburgh public access  TV stations 76 (optimum) or 35 (verizon) starting Friday at midnight and continuing till 8 AM on Tuesday morning. The living history interviews have been aired non stop on public access TV for over a decade. Because each interview is a half hour long it takes many hours to air the entire series of interviews.

The interviews were  produced by former Greenburgh resident Alan Hochberg and former resident and Vietnam veteran Steve Wittenberg.  In recent years Hugh McAuley and the Greenburgh veterans advisory committee has conducted additional interviews. Sadly, many of the veterans who were interviewed have passed away. These interview will enable future generations to never forget the role local residents have had in preserving our democracy.

These interviews have been shared with schools and the Greenburgh library. A link to each of the interviews can be found here:
