Greenburgh Insider: Town of Greenburgh: Celebrate N Elmsford today at Massaro Park.

A fun day at Massaro Park today from 12 noon to 8:30 PM. Vendors, kids activities, entertainment, free hamburgers and hotdogs.

In addition to Veteran Town Park – Greenburgh has some beautiful parks. Today, the North Elmsford Civic Association will hold their community reunion and friends day event at Massaro park.  Massaro Park is located off of Payne Street in N Elmsford (minutes away from Sams Club and Shoprite).

Today’s event takes place from 12 PM to 8:30 PM with the formal program starting at 4 PM. There will be live entertainment, vendors, kids activities and free hamburgers and hotdogs. Performances by 3D Rhythm of Life and $ & B Group BaseCamp.

The civic association is led by Lemuel Davis who is also a member of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee. Thanks to his leadership  and the efforts of the Civic Association Board and residents many improvements have been at this park in recent years.

This park has an outdoor swimming pool, baseball field, basketball courts, tennis courts and beautiful picnic areas. One can also take advantage of the walking path around the park if you want to exercise.

A few years ago our town historians wrote an article highlighting how Massaro Park got its name. See link below:
