Greenburgh Police and PHATBOYZMC sponsoring safety event. Sadly, many people are losing their lives in fatal traffic accidents.
The Town of Greenburgh Police Department and PHATBOYZMC/SC is presenting their 2nd motorcycle/motorist safety awareness event. Tomorrow: Sunday, July 10 between noon and 4 PM. The location: 100 Hillside Ave, Greenburgh -across from Town Hall (the former Dannon Parking Lot). Featuring: Greenburgh Police department; Phatboyz Mc/SC. Many motorcyclists will be at the event.
Motorcycles and cars share the same road. Drive smart and arrive safe. We need to reduce serious injuries and fatalities on the roadways. If you are a motorist watch for motorcycles during spring/summer travel. Please be careful. Increasing safe riding and cooperation among all road users is essential to reducing the number of deaths and injuries on our highways.
In 2019 e5,014 motorcyclists were involved in fatal traffic accidents. Motorcyclists are 29 times more likely to die in a motor vehicle crash and four times more likely to be injured than a car driver or passenger. There was a recent motorcycle fatality in the town of Greenburgh - every year there are fatalities in Westchester. If this event saves one life it will be worth the effort.
