Greenburgh Insider: Street Closures.

Dear Residents,

Between June and December there are numerous requests for street closures to accommodate the various annual community activities that occur over the course of this time for a variety of events including graduation celebrations,  block parties and holiday festivities.  We realize that significant planning time is devoted to preparing for these events and, therefore, encourage you to submit your street closure requests to the Clerk’s office at least three weeks prior to the event.  This time frame is due to the fact that the request must be approved by the Town Board and their regularly scheduled meetings are every two weeks, September through June, and only once during the months of July and August.  We want to make sure that your requests obtain approval in sufficient time for both your planning as well as that of the Greenburgh Police Department’s Traffic Division.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.  We look forward to receiving your requests and providing immediate assistance to help facilitate approval along with notification back to you.

Best regards,

Judith A. Beville

Greenburgh Town Clerk
